"Speak to the Children of Israel and bid them that they make fringes on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of each corner a thread of blue (tekhelet). And it shall be for you as a fringe, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of G-d, and do them..." (Numbers 15:38-39)

TEKHELET TIDINGS...

100 Years to Tekhelet Research

This year marks the centennial of Rabbi Yitzchak Halevi Herzog's groundbreaking and foundational doctorate. This work inaugurated the era of Tekhelet research and laid the foundations for all subsequent work in the field. To celebrate this event we will be hosting an international conference.

Save the Date: December 30th, 2013 at the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem.

We hope you will attend, and be a part of it! A crowdfunding campaign has been set up where you can help support the event.

HOT OFF THE PRESS: Seventh Annual Kuntreis

In honor of Parshat Shlach, the Torah portion in which we read about the mitzvah of tzitzit, Ptil Tekhelet distributed 10,000 copies of our seventh annual Kuntreis - Vehaya Lachem l'Tzitzit - to shuls throughout Israel.

The pamphlet contains a collection of never-before published articles on tzitzit and tekhelet by respected Israeli Rabbis.

The kuntreis is available for download as a single PDF file.

Individual articles may be downloaded from the Kuntreis-5773 section of the Ptil Tekhelet Library.
